Hasnain R. Badami is an associate member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan, having over 9 years of extensive professional experience in auditing, accounting, financial & management consultancy, corporate advisory services and corporate trainings.
Professional and Industry Experience
Prior to co-founding Redwood, Hasnain worked as Audit Manager at Engro (largest Pakistani local conglomerate) and served at Ernst & Young Karachi, Dubai and Jeddah offices leading large teams to provide external audit, accounting, advisory and internal audit services to wide range of clients. His over-the-top interpersonal skills has enabled him to inspire and develop extraordinary relationships with his clients performing troubleshooting for the client's most intricate issues.
Hasnain is spearheading Cloud accounting and advisory servicelines at Redwood Karachi office and providing convenient solutions to diversified range of SMEs. His exposure from Ernst & Young of dealing with clients in construction, textile, automobile, engineering, oil and gas, NGO, telecom, chemicals, pharmaceutical industry allowed him to comprehend and address key issues faced by his clients.
Rahim is a fellow member of Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan (ICAP) and is also qualified as Certified Internal Auditor (USA), Management Auditor (London School of Economics) and a Certified Director (Pakistan). Rahim has more than 18 years of experience in audit, internal controls, strategic planning, corporate governance, treasury, finance and project management. In his professional career he has worked in financial services, hospitality and health services sector.
Professional and Industry Experience
Rahim works at Bank of Montreal in Toronto as Director of Independent Controls. Before migrating to Canada from Pakistan in mid-2014 Rahim worked with Standard Chartered Bank (SCB) for nine years in a variety of roles such as Head of Internal Audit, Corporate Secretary, Business Planning Manager and CFO & Company Secretary for a wholly owned subsidiary. Rahim has managed some high profile assignments for SCB in UK, UAE, South Africa, Lebanon and Jordan. Prior to joining SCB, Rahim has worked with KPMG, Aga Khan Development Network (AKDN) and HSBC in Pakistan. Rahim is a passionate social worker and is actively involved in community service at the Aga Khan Development Network (AKDN) and has held key Board positions over the last 16 years in various Not for Profit Companies of AKDN involved in health, education, resettlement of refugees and social services sectors. Rahim is currently a Treasurer and Director on the Board of Community Development Council of Durham Region in Toronto, Canada since January 2016. While at SCB he was Responsible Executive in Pakistan for ‘Living with HIV’ initiative of SCB and has also represented the bank at the Corporate Social Responsibility Committee of Overseas Investors Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Pakistan.
